Three days after I got home from the Chapman Reunion in Manti, I headed right back to Manti with the Young Men and Young Women of the ward for our Youth Conference B.O.O.T. Camp. (B.uilding O.ur O.wn T.estimonies). On the way down we went on a hike in a narrow canyon. It was fun to see the youth having so much fun. Some of them were scared to climb certain parts, but they all did it. I'm so proud of them! They did a great job helping each other out.
We stayed at Palisades State Park. I was asked to be the "drill sergeant", so I pulled out some of the skills I used from my High School drill team days, and did my best to whip them into shape. ;)
During the week, we had many devotionals. This one was by Bro. Hawker. He did an awesome job of talking to the youth about the Armor of God.

Thank you for posting this with all these pictures. It's one less thing I have to bug people about for the ward history. It looks like you guys had a great time.
It was fun. I can't believe the kids think we will let them go for longer next time! HA!
Those are great pictures. I've heard nothing but great things from everyone who went. You are an amazing yw leader, still not sure how you and Kevin swing all the trips and time away your callings require...but you do somehow. Thanks for all you do for our youth - they love you.
Its been a long time since I've been down there. It looks like a lot of fun! I'm glad that they had fun. We have great leaders in our ward!!
