Bailee {9}

Bailee turned nine in February. And we just barely got around to getting her Birthday photo shoot done. You'd think I would be better at keeping caught up with pictures of my own kids, but, it just doesn't happen. Oh well. We're only a couple of months late!

At least we had some warm weather for the pics!

9 months

Beckham is 3/4 of the way to ONE! He is such a happy, fun baby! He got his first tooth on the bottom while we were at Disneyland, (when he was 8 months old), shortly followed a couple of weeks later with one directly above it on the top, and the other top tooth soon after that. He grinds them together, and the sound makes me crazy!

Because of the teeth, I chose to stop nursing. I just can't take the biting anymore! I was already tapering him off to once a day, but now we're pretty much done.

It makes me kind of sad, because I loved nursing, but you just can't stop growth and change I guess.

He can get on all fours, and move himself a little bit, but he's not quite to the crawling point. SO close though.

He has picked up the nickname "Ham".

Easter 2012

Easter is one of my favorite times of the year. I love springtime, and all the new growth it brings, warmer weather, and excitement for what's ahead.

I'm grateful we get to celebrate the resurrection of the Savior. My kids are at the age where they are really starting to "get it". The other day, Trinidee was telling us how the tomb had no doors and no windows, so no one could get in. But in the morning the rock was moved and Jesus was resurrected.

Here are some of our festivities. A few days before Easter, we went to Grandma and Grandpa Chapmans to color eggs.

Here is the loot Easter Morning.....

And the family after church, in our Sunday best...

After church, we were able to have a relaxing afternoon. I love 9:00 church, just for the fact that we get Sunday naps!

Then that evening we headed over to Chapmans for dinner and the annual Easter egg hunt. It was gorgeous warm weather!

Disneyland!!

So after our fun trip to St. George for the Air Show, we headed down to Cali to spend a few days at Disneyland! The best part is, the kids had no idea! They thought we were just driving home from St. George. It was SO hard to keep the secret. I was so excited the whole time we were driving.

I do have a video of them finding out, but I'm having a hard time getting it to work on my computer. So I'll post it later. :)

We had planned the trip a couple of months before with some friends from our ward. They kept it a secret from their kids as well. ;) We booked through GetAwayToday Vacations, stayed at the Clarion Hotel, and got the 3-day park hopper tickets.

The first day, we were having so much fun that I just kept forgetting to get the camera out. I only have a couple of shots to share from Day 1:

Day 2: Here we are enjoying one of our daily free breakfast buffets at the hotel. We walked to and from Disney each day so we didn't have to pay for parking. It was just under a mile each way. I also didn't take many pictures on Day 2. Oops.

We watched World of Color that night. It was unreal, and amazing!

Day 3: We took a break from the Disney crowds and went to a nice secluded beach! It was the perfect place to hang out for the day. The water was freezing, but that didn't keep the kids out of it. There were tide pools to explore, and the weather was in the 70's. Perfect!

This is a view of the beach we went to. The tide pools are the dark rock-looking areas on the far side of the beach.

I fell in love with this house, which was along the street that led down to the beach. I love that driveway!

The flowers were gorgeous!

I finally remembered to take plenty of pictures...

I don't think I've ever seen so many starfish in one place!

Teeny tiny crab...

This starfish was on higher ground, looking like it was drying out in the sun. So we moved it back to the water. I know you're not supposed to touch them, but we probably saved his little life, right?

A couple more views of the street that led down to the beach. Each house was gorgeous.

After the beach, we cleaned up, headed to Red Robin for dinner, then explored Downtown Disney.

Lego store:

Day 4: We used our "Magic Morning" where we could get into Disneyland at 7:00am, an hour earlier than the general public. We took advantage of the extra time and hurried to Fantasyland, where the lines are usually pretty long, and it gets extra crowded with young children. We were able to fit in a lot of rides in that extra hour!

It was a foggy morning, but the fog eventually lifted.

After hanging out in Disneyland for a while, we headed over to California Adventure when it opened at 10:00, so we could ride Woody's Round-up, which usually has a long line. We waited about 40 minutes, which was our longest line the whole trip. But we had fun even when we were standing in line. :) It was during that wait that we discovered Beckham's first tooth had come in!

It was a fabulous trip, and we had a wonderful time!
