Bailee turns 8

I can't believe my oldest just turned 8 years old! The past 8 years have gone by SO fast.
Bailee had a fun birthday party with lots of friends the day before her Birthday. She designed this invitation all by herself! She picked the colors, the stickers, and the fonts:

Her birthday was a success! We played lots of fun games, like the balloon pop, pin the tail on the donkey, duck-duck-goose, and we had a pinata.

I made another attempt at making her birthday cake this year. I didn't spray the pan enough so the cake broke apart when I tried to get it out. I used extra frosting to try to "glue" it back together, but I couldn't make it look good, and it was very crooked. It looks like it came out of a Dr. Seuss book or something. Oh well. It was gone in a few minutes anyway!

Then she opened her presents and we had cake & ice cream. It was a fun day!

Sunday, February 13 was her actual birthday. Here she is modeling her new apron that one of her friends gave her. Isn't it so cute! It's even reversible. :)

So that morning she opened her presents from us. She got mostly shoes and dresses, which she really needed. She's growing out of everything!

And that afternoon we dressed her up in her new white dress, sweater, and shoes. I took her to the Oquirrh Temple to take some pictures.

And here's a copy of her baptism invitation.

She is looking so grown up! Sounds like she had a great birthday and hopefully she has a great baptism day too. How lucky is she to have a photographer mom! Your cake looked great to me. Loved her excitement to see the cake!

I can't believe it! That will be Easton next year and I'm already freaking out! It seems like yesterday when she was a baby saying things like, quesadilla, and encyclopedia! Can't wait to come down next weekend for her baptism, and see everybody! YAY!
