WOS Tri

I'm WAY behind on keeping my blog updated, I know. But here's an attempt to start catching up. This is the Woman of Steel Triathlon that took place in American Fork back on May 22. (only a month ago!)
My sister Brianne and I did this race together. The night before the race it had rained and rained. In fact, it was still raining when we arrived that morning. And it was COLD! Only in the 40's. So, luckily, they cancelled the swim portion, and added a 1 mile run in it's place. So we ran 1 mile, biked 12.4 miles, then ran 3 miles. I was so happy I didn't have to get out of the water and freeze on the bike! This is the second tri I've done where the swim was cancelled. The other one was the Ogden Tri back in '06 when it had snowed the night before. Brrr!
So here's Brianne finishing the bike portion:

And here's me finishing the bike:

And get this: Brianne finished 10th overall. OVERALL!! Out of like 600 women! Holy crap. That's all I can say. She's FAST!

And here's me finishing like a month later. And I got another cartwheel finish under my belt. :)

So here's the stats:
Brianne:
Run 1: 7:41
T1: :47.56
Bike: 41:14
T2: :57
Run 2: 21:10
Total race time: 1:11:51 (3rd in her age division)
Me:
Run 1: 8:30
T1: 1:09
Bike: 49:26
T2: :58
Run 2: 24:08
Total race time: 1:24:12 (37th in my age division. What a difference 13 minutes makes!)
