Busy busy busy.....

Wow, I just realized how long it's been since I've posted on the blog! To give you a little update, I've just been incredibly busy! The photography business has been booming, and I've really been enjoying it. I'm constantly trying to catch up with myself. I'm looking forward to taking a break. :) I'm off to Vegas in a couple of days to spend the weekend with my girl friends. I can't wait!

We had our Young Women in Excellence Program this past Sunday, and I think it went really well. It took a lot of planning and preparation, and now that it's over, I'm hoping to have more time to start working on other things, such as starting my Christmas shopping, & getting rid of old toys! (Don't tell the kids.)

Oh, and here's a random question: Kevin and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary in January, but don't have a lot of money to go somewhere exotic. Any suggestions on where we should go? What are some fun, (relatively inexpensive) places you've been to? Do tell!

I'm so happy for you and your photography. Go Tia!! Our 10-year anniversary is in June, and I have no idea what to do. We'd love to go to Hawaii, but we need more money to do that....so I'm interested to know what other people suggest.

You could do something like Mindy Black did and go to the Johnson Mill Bed and Breakfast, or Lava
Hot Springs- actually maybe you'll want to do this with the kids, or up to yellowstone and rent snowmobiles and stay in the lodge and try out snowshoeing too. You could always do a skiing/snowboarding adventure up at Snowbird and stay up there (or in Park City).

We had our 10 year in August and it was definately not what we'd thought we'd do when we were thinking of the future 10 years ago. :) Since we got the girls and have been on a super tight budget, we haven't really "been out" but maybe 2 or 3 times. So it was a really special treat to go out to dinner and order everything (drink, appetizer AND dessert). We sat and talked for awhile after leaving the restaurant and enjoyed each others company. I wish I had been more thoughtful prior to the anniversary and written or done something more creative. I know ours was lame, but it was special to us. I know of another couple that for the 10 days leading up to the anniv, they wrote notes of thoughts and memories of each corresponding year. (day 1 = thoughts and memories from year 1, etc.)
You could always do a trip to AZ and come see US! :)
You could do a "romantic or semi-sexy :)" photo shoot together

You could come up here and go to Miracle Hot Springs. Tyrel and I did that for our anniversary a couple of weeks ago. It's about an hour drive from my house. They have places you can stay there over night too. And private hot tub rooms if you don't want to be around other people. It was fun. We want to go back there. I think it's like $9 for an adult and then extra money for the private room depending on how long you want the private room. We spent like $30 total and had the private room for an hour and a half.
