Trek

This post is about a month late. We went on our Stake's Pioneer Handcart Trek with the youth on July 8-11. It was such a memorable experience! We trekked for about 14 miles the first day!! It was physically exhausting. There were a lot of steep hills. It actually wasn't too hot, which was a relief. It was windy part of the time. Kevin and I were a Ma and Pa, and we had 10 kids. They were great kids, and didn't complain much. Luckily, we had a big, strong rugby player for one of our sons, and he was almost always at the front of the cart, doing a lot of the pulling. He was awesome! We had 6 girls and 4 boys. Overall, we trekked about 30 miles total over the 4 days. My favorite part was the hoe-down, the women's pull, and the spirit that was felt throughout the trek. It was a fun experience, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

I love this picture of Kevin! He's so handsome! :)

One of our boys woke up with a big-fat bottom lip from getting sunburned the previous day. We couldn't stop laughing at....I mean with him!

Yeah it was awesome. I would also do it again. I still need to get my pictures off my card- you know because my camera broke :)

I love seeing your pictures. I'm also glad you would do it again, I didn't hear that from too many of the leaders. :) I'm sure you were a great ma!
